Cycle for Survival is an event in support of research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC that will help to revolutionize the way cancer is diagnosed and treated. The event is held in Times Square every year and the money raised will aid in sequencing tumor DNA, developing individual therapies and launching clinical trials. The Anthony M. Fernicola Foundation supports this worthwhile and vital cause annually.
The Miraglo Foundation is another example of AMF’s continued support of other charitable institutions that benefit health and research programs. This institution has promoted health initiatives both locally and globally. We support them so that they can continue to help hospital and research centers in California, Chicago and as far away as India, Nepal and South Africa. Their purpose is to fund scholarships to nursing students in India, provide education to low income children all over the world and to expand cardiac labs and open-heart surgery theaters in rural India.
As we had stated previously, The Anthony M. Fernicola foundation has supported St. Jude’s Hospital Research Division which in turn works tirelessly to find cures for chronic health conditions, pediatric cancers and numerous catastrophic illnesses. They are the only National Cancer Institute devoted solely to children. Their research provides invaluable and innovative therapies and breakthroughs that will save children’s lives. Our foundation has supported their valiant efforts for many years.
The AMF Foundation has supported many research projects and in particular the Institute for Bladder and Prostate Research. Our donations through the years have provided financial support to enable the institute to perform clinical research and to present at international conferences while participating in instructive courses and panel discussions and debates with other medical professionals.
